What does the tuition fee include?
- Fully accredited, US university-level courses (up to 15 credits for Fall or Spring terms, and 6 credits for Late Spring or Summer terms)

Materials fees for all studio classes except for Batik, Jewelry Design, Serigraphy, and Weaving, which are paid directly to the studios as follows: Batik: €100 (includes dye, students must purchase fabric), Jewelry Design: €130 (includes tool kit; students must purchase some silver and stones), Serigraphy: €100 (includes inks and chemicals; students must purchase pen, portfolio, fabric/paper), Weaving: €60 (covers yarns for sample weaving projects)

- All required class field trips and museum entrances. Cities regularly visited by art history, studio art, or design classes include Fiesole, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, San Sepolcro, Ravenna, Rome, Arezzo, Urbino, Carrara, Milan, Bologna, Venice, and Naples (on rare special occasions, an extra field trip fee may apply).
In addition to the above, tuition for Post-Baccalaureate and MFA candidates includes:
- Seven-day per week access for studio art majors to graduate studios.
- Special Graduate Seminar field trips to exhibitions and contemporary art fairs and visits to studios of practicing artists.
What does the activity fee include?
- A full orientation program which includes lectures, a welcome party, tours of SACI’s facilities, nearby stores and markets, and major art sites
- A museum pass that entitles SACI students to free entrance to the Uffizi, Accademia and Pitti Galleries, the Bargello, the Medici Chapels, the San Marco museum, and many more historical locations in the city.
- Guest lectures.
- Weekly evening open-life drawing sessions.
- Italian Film nights.
- Gallery exhibitions and student exhibitions.
- “Survival Italian” classes with native-speaking Italian instructors (Fall and Spring Terms)
- Participation in weekend field trips (Late Spring and Summer terms)
- Farewell party
What does the student services fee include?
- Pre-departure advising by SACI staff in US and Italy.
- Seven-day per week access to SACI.
- 24-hour emergency phone service and trained health and security staff on campus at all times when SACI is open.
- Assistance with medical and other personal needs.
- Assistance with health insurance and police registration, including, during Fall and Spring terms, payment by SACI of the marca da bollo (registration tax for students to obtain a Permit of Stay in Italy).
- Internet access in SACI’s educational facilities and gardens (WiFi).
- Free printing from student computers.
- Library services – use of the SACI Worthington Library, containing over 12,500 volumes, 32,000 images, 50 periodical subscriptions, numerous videos and DVDs, and library computer access.
What does the housing fee include?

Fully furnished and equipped apartments with kitchens, living rooms, and double or single bedrooms near to SACI in the historic center of Florence. (All apartments are registered in accordance with Italian law.
SACI apartments also meet strict health and safety standards and are covered by fire and third-party liability insurance). A reasonable use of utilities is also included. - Full-time housing staff available to assist students.
- Wi-Fi Internet access.
- Washing machines and linens (except towels).
Note: Academic Year, Post-Bac, and MFA students staying in Italy over the Christmas break can remain in SACI apartments for an additional fee of $400.
