On May 4th 2013, SACI Founder and Director Emeritus Jules Maidoff celebrated his 80th birthday within the marvelous Castello di Gabbiano, located on the Chianti hills, near the town of Mercatale. This was also the occasion for the inauguration of his personal exhibition within the Castle, entitled Ossessioni, Pentimenti e Divertimenti.

The opening of the show, featuring 23 paintings selected from Jules's recent works, was a great success, with many members of the SACI family (staff, board members, alumni, faculty and students) turning up from all over the world: a true tribute to the international vocation of Jules's lifetime achievements.
Happy birthday once more, from the whole SACI community, to the youngest eighty-year-old we know and love.
